Humanitarian
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ~Mark Twain

Travel, whether it be down the street or around the world, is experiential education. In the words of Mark Twain, "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness." Travel is particularly powerful in softening our hearts, sharpening our senses, and expanding our views.
Below is a sampling of people, lands and cultures which have helped to center me in my humanity and love for all the children of the earth.

De Mesa Elementary School
San Pablo, Laguna, Philippines
The foundation of any great education must be built upon LOVE, just as it is at De Mesa Elementary. I enjoyed observing the educational system and teaching processes at this school while helping to build a library for the children.

โรงเรียนบ้านหนองตูม (Ban-Nong-Tum school)
Udon Thani, Thailand
Pure joy in serving the children of this beautiful countryside while building a much needed bathroom for their local elementary school. I also had the privilege in mentoring and leading the nineteen American youth (one of whom was my own son) who accompanied us on the trip.

I Am Zambia
Zambia, Africa
I love teaching, mentoring and working with the I Am Zambia girls school via Zoom and social media outlets.

Displaced Families
Congo, Afghanistan, Syria, Jordan, more...
Each month, a myriad of families are displaced from their homes due to war, political uprisings, poverty, domestic violence and so much more. My heart mourns with such families. My family, colleagues and I work to provide aid in supplying the necessities of life to as many families as we can.
