Private School Experience

I co-founded the Millennial Heritage Academy private school.  We worked together as students, families and staff to rise up to the morals of:

Teaching middle school and high school U.S. History, including the U.S. Constitution and the Civil War Era, was one of the highlights of my career.  One of my greatest passions lives within the history of this great nation.  Listening to students recite the Declaration of Independence by heart while coaching them in and watching them compete in the Constitution Bowl at the end of the semester was thrilling to my soul.

It was also my great privilege to teach Shakespeare for a couple of years at the school.  Nobody knows human nature as does the Bard.  Deep, character-forging conversations between students and teachers were engaged in as the lessons from these plays came to life in the minds and hearts of the students, transforming and molding their future life paths.  Nothing is more rewarding as a teacher than seeing young minds and hearts grow, expand and change by means of self-discovery.
