Public School Experience

In addition to having graduated with honors from the public school system myself and majoring in Elementary Education with a Special Education emphasis in college, I have also worked as a substitute teacher in the Alpine School District, worked as an instructional aid for a special education class in the San Marcos Unified School District, and volunteered in classrooms and for activities at our local Jackson Elementary public school, including serving as room mom for Mrs. Carillo's 3rd grade class.

As a couple of my children have special needs and active Individual Education Plans (IEPs), I have worked closely with administrators, teachers and specialists on both the local and district levels at the elementary and middle schools.
